STEM Camp Celebrates 6th Successful Year

Whether building solar ovens, sewing circuits into fabric to create e-textiles or designing and programming robots, the Westfield Public School District’s STEM camp combined project-based learning, ingenuity and fun for a sixth summer.

Students Strengthen Skills During Extended School Year Program

The Extended School Year Program for preschool through high school students in the Westfield Public School District is in its 16th year, with a continued focus on maintaining and strengthening academic skills through the summer to prepare students for the new school year.

Making a Wish Come True

The Jefferson School community recently raised $3,000 for Make-A-Wish New Jersey, helping to grant the wish of a special 5-year-old who will visit the Walt Disney World Resort with her family this summer.

Author Visit

The Jefferson School PTO in Westfield recently hosted author/illustrator Matt Tavares whose children's book titles include "Red and Lulu" and "Crossing Niagara" as well as biographies of famous baseball players.

“Kindness Month” at Jefferson

Jefferson School marked February as “Kindness Month” with students and their families using the written word to express their gratitude to the school’s teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and other staff members.
